Maintenance Technician A1 - HOLCIM
LOCATION: BRISTOL, CT

SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The Maintenance Technician position supports the plant by checking, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform periodic, scheduled inspections and checks of equipment to determine whether failures or issues are present and determine how soon the corrections/adjustments may need to be made
  • Assemble and disassemble machines to make repairs, perform inspections, and replace with new items while maintaining safety and production goals in mind
  • Troubleshoot equipment to identify root cause(s) and suggest appropriate follow-up actions
  • Identify failed components and determine necessary replacement parts
  • Interact directly with production and other plant teammates in a professional manner
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive work instructions, identify parts that belong to machines, and fully document work performed
  • Comply with all safety and environmental protocols relating to operations
  • Locate spare parts in the storeroom and follow stock check-out processes
  • Maintain a dedicated toolbox and shared maintenance tools and supplies in a organized manner so that materials can be accessed quickly and reliably

SALARY: $37.75-$40.85 + Shift Differential; $1,000 Sign-On after 90 Days​

Instructor, Manufacturing - BristolWORKS!
LOCATION: BRISTOL, CT

SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
The Manufacturing Instructor (contracted position) will provide classroom instruction to adult participants looking to enter the Manufacturing field. The instructor will teach prescribed curriculum modules and topics as outlined in the course description to prepare participants to enter into employment and/or further learning opportunities in the Manufacturing field. The instructor will be required to complete and pass Certified Production Technician (CPT) Instructor training in order to teach this program. BristolWORKS! will pay for this training.
Essential Duties Include:
​• Translate work experience into classroom learning.
• Instruct participants in the Certified Production Technician (CPT) curriculum.
• Teach in accordance with approved course description, learning outcomes, and schedule.
• Encourage discussion and share experiences to provide learning opportunities for participants.
• Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records on student performance.
• Prepare students with the understanding of material to successfully complete assessments.
• Provide differentiated instruction to ensure individualized participant success.
• Maintain attendance records and data collection requirements.

SALARY: $35-$45/contracted hour. (Dependent upon experience.)

Assistant City Engineer - City of Bristol Public Works Department
​
LOCATION: BRISTOL, CT

​SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  Selects and applies standard civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to a variety of public works planning, construction, and design and land surveying projects; provides technical assistance and consultation to City Departments, Boards, and Commissions; and inspects construction projects.  Supervises the civil engineering, drafting, inspection, and record keeping sections of Engineering Division including all related staff.  Oversees and provides technical review of the preparation of plans, specifications, and designs for public works projects, including street and sidewalk construction, drainage improvements, recreational fields, and facilities improvements.  Reviews costs and materials estimates.  Investigates problems and complaints, and prepares design changes as needed.  Prepares, analyzes, and reports in specialized engineering areas.  Assists applicants in applying for construction permits.  Participates in long range and near term planning for Department.  Makes formal presentations.

Director Loan Operation SBA - Webster Bank​
LOCATION: SOUTHINGTON, CT

SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Leads the strategy and operational execution of the Business Banking Payoff/SBA Servicing department.
  • Responsible for planning, organization, communication, and successful execution of the operational processes for Business Banking Payoff/ SBA Servicing activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulatory and investor guidelines. Business Banking Payoff/ SBA Servicing Department supports the payoffs, releases and reporting of Business Banking and SBA loans
  • Organize and direct the daily activity in loan servicing including SBA loan guarantee program, UCC filings, searches, renewals and related collateral maintenance items; payoff and collateral releases
  • Work with system providers to utilize applications to fullest capacity, streamlining processes and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Analyze, prepare, train for periodic updates to system software, and verify that enhancements are working correctly. Assist with system parameters, and design to meet the needs of multiple departments. Manage user security access.
  • Oversee and apply internal/external accounting practices for loan accounting to all transactions ensuring processes and procedures are sufficient to properly record all activity.
  • Develop and/or revise department procedures to accommodate bank or Insurer updates and directives.

SALARY: $95,000 - and up to $119,000/yr. (Dependent upon experience.)

Safety Program Coordinator - Covanta​
LOCATION: BRISTOL, CT

SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Reporting to the Facility Manager and the Regional Safety Manager, the Safety Program Coordinator will have a varying range of responsibilities depending on the size and complexity of the plant, number of employees and projects assigned.  The role will span strategic, tactical, and transformational safety and health management activities.  As the Safety Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, training and implementation of Covanta’s safety policies, accident investigation and documentation, OSHA VPP efforts, and management of the other safety program initiatives (and Transfer Station’s DOT Driver’s Program, where it applies).  In addition to managing the facility’s safety program, the Safety Program Coordinator will oversee the employee training program, and assist with the daily execution of the facility safety and health activities (Transfer Station, Public Unloading Facility and Upper Lot Recycle operation, when it applies).
