Event Description: Based on extensive research, Kevin Johnson-- of the State Library’s History and Genealogy Unit-- portrays Jordan Freeman, a real-life African-American freedman and witness to key events in America's war for independence, including Benedict Arnold's massacre of the garrison at Fort Griswold in Groton, Connecticut.
