The goal of Business Builders is to build business relationships, provide business leads, promote education, and offer support and motivation. This networking group meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Chamber office. At each meeting a different member of the group gives a presentation on a topic relevant to the business world followed by questions. After the presentation, all attendees have a chance to introduce themselves to the group, giving their best elevator pitch about themselves and their business. The meetings end with a brief period for networking.
Business After Hours
Join us at a different business every month for a chance to network with other Chamber members and learn more about a local business. The Bloomfield, Farmington and Central Connecticut Chambers each host a Business After Hours event every month. Burlington, Plymouth and Wolcott host After Hours events as volunteer hosts arise. Business Book Group
The Business Book Group meets on the third Friday of each month at noon at the Farmington Library, 5 Monteith Avenue, Farmington. Every month they discuss a different business-focused book with the goal to enhance everyones understanding of the material, lead to new insights into ways to do business, and help everyone in attendace to grow their business.
Build Your Own Business Seminar
Enjoy breakfast (BYOB) and learning at our BYOB Seminars held the second Thursday of every month from 8:15 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at The Landing of Farmington, 111 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington. During each seminar a featured speaker gives a presentation on a current business topic followed by questions and a group discussion. Topics are wide ranging and appeal to anyone looking to grow their business or excel at work. Social After Hours
Join us at a different business every month for a chance socialze with fellow members and potnetial new members. This is a chance to get together in a more informal setting to enjoy socializing and introducing new members to the Chamber. Women in Business Networking
These events are a chance to network with other local businesswomen. They are held the second Friday of each month from 7:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at Village Gate of Farmington, 88 Scott Swamp Road (Rte 6), Farmington. Each month a different member of the group gives a presentation on a topic relevant to the business world followed by questions and networking. Some of our past topics have included social media, “elevator pitch” introductions, best marketing practices, email efficiency, living trusts, Medicare, credit scores, and how to stay organized.
